07973100601 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 07973100601 👆 is reported as a UK mobile number used by EE’s retention team, primarily calling customers who have requested their PAC code to switch providers. The calls typically follow soon after a PAC request and aim to offer better deals or persuade customers to remain with EE. Many users find the calls intrusive, frequent, and sometimes frustrating, often not answered due to concerns over legitimacy or unfamiliarity. Although the number is legitimate, callers occasionally hang up without leaving a message, leading to suspicion. Customers frequently mention leaving EE due to rising prices and better offers elsewhere, with the retention team’s efforts often described as too little, too late. It is advisable not to share personal or banking details on such calls and to contact EE directly via official channels if unsure.

They were trying to get me to pay less, but it felt dodgy to me.

Got a call claiming to be from EE. Just switched to a sim-only plan so I’m not sure why they were ringing me. Thought EE would ring from something like 150 or their official number, but this came from a mobile number, so I’m a bit suspicious it was legit. Told the bloke straight up I wasn’t bothered.

So I asked for my PAC code and then got calls off this number saying they were EE Guide Calling... I thought they were trying to keep me as a customer, but honestly, there are loads of way better deals around now. I do like EE's network though, so I've actually gone with another company that uses EE's network but charges me like 75% less.

So annoying! I get calls from them two times every day now. This only started after I sent a text to 85075 to find out if my contract was up. Clearly just some marketing trick. I hadn’t thought about switching from EE before, but after this constant pestering, I’m seriously thinking about it.

Had a call from someone claiming to be with EE’s retentions crew. Turns out, if you try to grab your PAC code or even go through the part of your account where you can ask for it, they’ll bombard you with calls all day long. It’s a proper hassle.

I was with EE and as I was about to leave, they went and doubled my monthly contract by surprise. Then they had the cheek to claim they’d given me an amazing deal! Now I’m with Lebara paying about a third of what I was before. When I told them it was a total “no brainer” to switch, they just didn’t get my point at all.

I've been getting a few calls from this number lately. When I finally picked up, a lady with a really natural voice said she hadn’t rung me and thought maybe I had the wrong number. Another time I answered, the caller just kept saying "hello" like she was expecting me to answer, but I couldn’t get a word in. Bit odd, if you ask me.

Got a PAC code from EE after asking to switch because the signal in my area is rubbish.
EE

Yeah, it’s definitely EE. I just left them after being a customer for years because the prices got way too steep. The lady on the phone was alright, asked if I’d asked for a PAC and I said yes since it all came down to the cost. I’d already taken the SIM out, so I figured they’d know I was done with them. Next to the number it said EE Guide calling, which was the same number that rang when my new provider asked for a PAC. They told me to ignore it, which I did. Probably just trying to get me to rethink switching. Hope this info helps someone.

Asked for PAC codes for two phones I had with EE since their prices kept going up way too much. Switched to Smarty now and just pay £36 a month for both, with unlimited data and calls, instead of more than £70. No wonder I wanted out 😅. This number was the EE retention team trying to offer a cheaper tariff. I just ignored it.

I asked for my PAC code from EE last night, and lo and behold, I received a call this morning. I employed Google’s Call Screening feature, but the caller didn’t utter a word or leave any message behind. I've decided to block the number.

I’ve recently put in a request for a PAC code and already received one call from that number. I suspect there’ll be more to come. I've been a loyal EE customer for several years now, but I have to say, I really don’t appreciate the way they bury their best deals. To be fair, it seems that this is a common practice across the board. I’ve decided to switch to Lebara for a straightforward SIM-only plan that I didn’t have to haggle over on the phone-thank goodness my contract is wrapping up. I’m not trying to throw shade at EE; I’ve had no major issues with their service, to be honest.

EE keep ringing trying to persuade me to stay. I asked for a PAC code and now I get calls from this number non-stop… I’ve not answered any of them. I’ve already switched to Vodafone, who offer a way better deal with loads more data and much cheaper (plus cashback!!). Since their prices went up in April, EE just isn’t worth it anymore. They kindly offered me 30GB data (5GB more than my last EE plan) for £10 a month… but that’s still more expensive than Vodafone’s £7.50 per month after cashback. So, I’m definitely moving on!

Just like some people here, I asked for a PAC code to switch over to Smarty (they're one of the last few that still have 'roam like at home'). Since then, I've had loads of calls from this number - guessing it’s EE from what others have said - but I’m not picking up cos I never answer unknown numbers. Feels a bit shady! If they're serious about getting hold of me, they’ll either leave a voicemail or send an email...

EE is making a real effort to persuade me to remain with them. They’re insisting they can match the superior deal I’ve been offered elsewhere. Honestly, if they had presented their best deal in the first place, I might not even be considering a change!

After seeing the earlier comments, yeah it’s definitely EE. I asked for a PAC code from EE just yesterday and was checking out SIM only deals on their app but couldn’t find anything close to the £4.50 for 3 months, then £9 for a year contract with 36GB from ID mobile!! If EE really wanted to keep me they could’ve asked at the time I requested the PAC code... now don’t bother calling me since I’ve already sorted a new deal!

Got two missed calls from this number so I looked it up. I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know. I recently asked EE for a PAC code cause I was paying over £20 a month, then found out Lyca uses the EE network but charges just £8 with the same data and minutes! I’ve been with EE since they were still Orange, way back when I got my first phone in 1999! I always liked EE’s coverage, so when I saw I could keep that network but pay way less and get EU roaming included, switching to Lyca was an easy choice for me.

Got a call from EE wanting me to stay after I asked for my PAC code. Was on a sim-only plan with 5GB data and the price had shot up to almost £30 a month! Switched to lycamobile now, 100GB for just £6.99 a month for the first year, with EU roaming and international calls included! Plus it still uses the EE network. I’ve been with EE for nearly two decades! Makes me cringe thinking about all the money I’ve thrown away recently. Goodbye EE, I’m not coming back!!!

Think it might have been EE: I’d just asked about cancelling my EE plan. They didn’t leave any message though.

Got a call from EE’s retention team after I asked for my PAC code. They were trying to keep me on the line, but honestly, their customer service is rubbish and the price hikes are ridiculous - from £30 to £50 in just two years for the same plan! They kept nagging me to stay, which felt more like harassment than help. Sure, they might throw some “good deals” at you, but honestly, I wouldn’t bother sticking with EE. Best to look elsewhere if you want decent service.

Cheers - Your guess that it was EE makes sense what I experienced today - I just cancelled my Mophone contract through EE, so I reckon it was them trying to convince me to stay.

Sounds like EE is trying to lure you back with a deal or something lol. Been with them for over a decade and in 2023 their 14.4% price hike was shocking. My bill jumped from £50 to £76.50, which is just crazy. I won’t be sticking with EE again, way too expensive. I’m sticking with TESCO from now on :)

Sounds like EE is just trying to put me off switching providers after I found a better deal on a phone somewhere else.

I was in the process of switching from EE and had requested my PAC code. Almost immediately after receiving it, they rang me up in an attempt to persuade me to reconsider my decision and stay with them.

Got a call from some immigrant guy with poor English claiming to be from EE, talking about some discounts. Might be real, but honestly EE’s service is rubbish! I’d never choose that mobile provider again!

I asked for a PAC code to finally ditch EE after being stuck in a pricey contract for ages. Managed to find almost the same deal with another company for just £9 a month, compared to the ridiculous £85 I’m currently paying... so long EE, I’m never going back!

Got a call from EE looking to persuade me to stay after I’d asked for a PAC code. Bit pointless really as you only ever ask for that when you’re set to move your number to a new provider. I didn’t bother picking up though, since I’ve already found a way better deal - saving me about £20 every month, with a newer phone and extra data through uSwitch. Much happier now!

I reckon this must be EE - I received a call shortly after I mentioned on their website that I was considering switching providers.

Yeah, that was EE calling after I asked about quitting on my myee page. It was the retention squad. Gotta say, the deal they gave me was way better than anything listed online.

EE loyalty squad offering brilliant sim cards and mobile plans from £18 for unlimited texts, calls, data plus EU roaming, and even cheaper deals like £12 for 30gb - loads of options to choose from!

Spoke to a lady from EE who was really helpful. The deal on the website said £28 monthly, but she managed to sort it for £15. Decided to stick with EE because of that.

Contacted EE for a PAC code today since Sky have a deal that's £50 a month cheaper (bit of a different plan tho). From what I’ve read here, seems like EE might try and tempt me with a new offer. But this month, EE charged me £22 for 7 calls to the US that lasted just 55 secs - none actually went through, all straight to voicemail. Proper rip off. I do shop around for better deals, but honestly, I can’t see myself going back to EE for quite some time. Shame, cause I’ll miss having BT Sport on my phone.

Sounds like the EE retention lot again, just like everyone’s saying, I asked for my PAC yesterday. Had to ring them ‘cos the app and website’s PAC generator wasn’t working (bit too convenient if you ask me). Tried to convince me to stay but didn’t work. I’m switching to Three with a new contract, iPhone 14 Pro + unlimited including data for £39. EE wanted £51 for the phone with 5g data! Then tried to put me off by saying it might not be brand new and could be dodgy. Only one way to know for sure - goodbye EE!

Got a call from the EE retention folks. It’s usually worth picking up coz they might be tryin to give you a pretty good deal. Every phone and broadband company is pretty much the same tho. Just be careful - if you answer, dont share any personal info or details about your EE account, and definitely dont confirm your bank details with them.

EE didn’t pick up. I was trying to get my PAC code to move to a new provider since my contract ends this month. The whole experience was awful, with ridiculous prices that go up way too quickly. They were useless and just out to drain your wallet. I’m glad I won’t be signing up with them again, no way.

I didnt pick up the call but I did enquire about my EE contract end date earlier today, so this might be a callback about that. Also, Ive been getting calls from 01438 989230 which says it’s EE too, but I reckon it’s most likely scammers.

Didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number, but like many others here I asked EE for a PAC code, so seems it was a call to try and keep me as a customer. This is what you get when companies keep raising their rates. Moving to a different provider who charges half for the same service.

I didn’t pick up since it was a number I didn’t recognise but just like others have said, I asked EE for a PAC code, so probably a call trying to keep me as a customer. 07973100601 was EE calling me. They were trying to keep me as a customer after I got a PAC code yesterday. My contract's gone up loads since I signed up, and the phone stopped working properly after the last "update". They offered no help, so I'm switching to another provider. Paying a quarter of what I was, getting more data, and a phone that actually works! Goodbye EE! After 14 years, they’ve lost me as a customer!

Received a ring from this number earlier, but didn’t pick up since it was unfamiliar. Similar to what others mentioned, I asked for a PAC code yesterday as I’m switching to a new provider who’s charging me just a fraction of what EE is, even though my contract ended. I had a quick chat with EE and they just told me to go ahead with the other deal as they couldn’t beat it. Been loyal to EE for nearly 18 years, and they didn’t even bother trying to keep me. So yeah, I’m off to the new supplier now.

I got a call from EE Loyalty team after I asked for a PAC code since I wanted to get a new phone. They suggested a model I had actually picked a while back, and the deal was surprising - my new monthly cost is lower than what I was paying for my phone that’s 7 years old! The phone showed up the very next day, and I went to the nearest EE store to check everything was properly moved over from my old device.

Like others have said, I asked for my PAC code and within an hour I got a phone call. Normally I don’t pick up unknown numbers but I guessed it was EE. I’m switching because the signal’s been rubbish and the prices keep going up. If EE want to keep us, they should just roll customers onto the cheapest plan when contracts end automatically.

EE gave me a ring after I asked for a PAC code, probably the retention team. I’ve been with them for ages. They bombarded me with loads of questions about what other companies charge, my broadband and mobile costs just so they could try to compete, although I doubt they’ll ever really match those prices. Also, they tried to get my account password for ID, which I refused to share. Seriously, never hand over your passwords to anyone who calls you.
