scam alert. never respond to these texts. got one saying: gov.uk ur entitled to a tax refund of £276.84 from hmrc. it asked me to confirm my details by clicking hmr-revenue-taxrebate[###]. totally fake, just ignore.

this phone number is definitely a scam trying to pass off as HMRC. they wanted me to check a dodgy website like hmr-revenue-taxrebate{###] to confirm some details. i’m sure they’ll try to get your bank info to ‘process’ some fake refund. don’t fall for it, speaking from experience since i used to work at HMRC.

This is definitely one of those fake tax refund scams. Don’t click on the link, it’s dodgy. Make sure you report it if you get anything like this!

I got a message saying I had a tax refund waiting from HMRC and I needed to confirm my details at hmr-revenue-taxrebatef### or something like that. Thing is, I don’t pay tax at all, so how would I be owed a refund? Seems pretty dodgy to me. Very risky stuff.
