This number popped up a couple of times on my missed calls, seemed like one of those robot call centres just checking if my line’s active.

This morning I got a call from a number marked as TW assigned, but when I attempted to ring it back, it told me the number doesn’t exist. So strange!

After a brief pause, someone asked if they had reached me, perfectly knowing my full name. I replied that I wouldn’t verify my identity until they told me who they were. They mentioned something about PPI claims, so I told them I wasn’t interested. I expected them to hang up straight away, but when the person kept going, I cut the call off!

They started off calling me by my first name, which was a bit odd. When I asked who exactly they were and why they were ringing about PPI claims, they just wouldn’t give a clear answer. Totally sounded like one of those annoying nuisance calls.

Nobody actually talks to you, but at the close of the call a pre-recorded voice says goodbye. I reckon they’re just waiting for you to respond with yes or anything else so they can catch it on tape.

i picked up the phone and there was just silence for a bit, then after a few seconds a female robot voice said “goodbye.” it was really weird!
