Got a robotic call saying I supposedly got charged over £95 for a year's Amazon Prime subscription. They gave me a number to press if I wanted to cancel. Sounds like another one of those dodgy scams to me! I didn’t go ahead with anything and had a look at my bank, luckily no money was taken.

Got a robo call from some American woman saying there was a dodgy charge of more than £1000 on my debit for an iPhone 15. She told me to have a look at my banking app or hit 1 to find out more. Seemed fishy to me.

Got a call on my landline around 9:45 on Saturday, 9th March 2024. I let it ring out without answering, and they hung up after about a minute. Since I’m TPS registered and my number isn’t listed, they really shouldn’t be ringing me. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now.

Honestly, can these con artists stoop any further, exploiting such a heartbreaking situation for their scams? I wish I had that kind of money, tight until I get my pension on Friday. I hit 2, hoping to reroute the funds to one of my own accounts, but of course, no reply. Total rubbish merchants.

Got a call from 07944 885 123, a bloke speaking with what sounded like an American accent claiming he was from Microsoft, said something about Unit 3, 100 Thames Park in Reading. Oddly, mid-call his accent switched to Asian, and when I questioned it, he said he was actually from Indonesia. I hung up but then got repeated calls from 07940 490 700 and 07956 964 228 where he started being abusive and threatening to disconnect my internet and landline. Proper unsettling experience.

28/2/24, 12.07 pm. Got a call from “N--G--S” trying the old “Amazon Prime scam” trick again. I hit 1 and just kept him hanging for a good 15 minutes, feeding him made-up bank and card info. Eventually told the bloke to get lost in no uncertain terms.
