My work number keeps getting these calls from this same number. Whenever I pick up, there’s just silence on the other end, no one saying a word. Eventually, I just had to hang up. It’s so annoying cos it’s my business line and I’m supposed to be answering customers!

This is actually my friend's number, and it looks like it’s been compromised since it’s quite an easy one to remember. When you call, it just sends you straight through to some call centre in India. It’s not his fault you’re getting all these calls. He’s had to switch his phone off because loads of people keep calling him back. He’s also reported the whole situation to the police here in the UK.

twice yesterday i got calls from a bloke with an indian accent telling me my computer was infected. second call i told him i don’t own a computer, what’s he on about? then hung up. just now he called again but i didn’t even pick up. proper irritating, what are they after anyway?

So this number tried ringing me yesterday, and I just said I was working and couldn’t check my computer then. Today, they called again saying my computer was involved in some illegal stuff and there’s a virus risk. I told them again I wasn’t near my PC, and suddenly they got really mad, started yelling, and just cut the call off! Weird behaviour, honestly.

Since i have antivirus software and rarely download anything suspicious, i was pretty sceptical. Got a few calls from some guys saying they're from NFS in India, telling me my computer's got issues. They kept ringing back over and over, trying to get me to let them access my PC. Obviously, they're just after my info or trying to install malware. Honestly, just ignore and hang up straight away. It’s a waste arguing with them. No genuine company talks like this. These lot are definitely scammers.

I’ve had quite a few annoying calls from this number recently, asserting that they’re somehow affiliated with Microsoft and are here to help with my Windows issues, claiming they're getting alerts from my computer. They’re quite persistent and don't take no for an answer. I'm not quite sure what kind of con they’re trying to pull, but it all seems completely dodgy to me!
