Received a message on Messenger that purported to be from HMRC, stating I was owed a P800 tax refund of £300 for the years 2016 to 2020. I didn’t bother opening the message after seeing the preview in my inbox. Just a heads up: HMRC will only send such communications through traditional mail. Be cautious and don't fall for it!

I've received a message claiming I owe money to HMRC, but I assure you, my taxes are all squared away. They wouldn't reach out via text if I really did have a debt, which I definitely don't. It's absolutely disgraceful-these chaps are a real bunch of rotters. One can only hope they face the consequences for their dodgy practices before long!

I've received a notification from HMRC about a revised P800 refund. They've included a link to something called ukevaluation, which is raising red flags for me-sounds like a scam!

I've received a rather dodgy call purporting to be from HMRC about a supposed update on my P800 refund. They were directing me to a sketchy-looking website with a link to ukevaluation-P800. Just a heads-up to everyone - steer clear of this!
