Got a call claiming to be from Royal Mail, with a link to check a parcel. The website it took me to looked similar but wasn’t the real Royal Mail page. I double-checked by visiting the official Royal Mail site directly, and the URL was completely different from the one they sent. The tracking number they gave me didn’t show up on the official site either. Trying to click on ‘contact us’ and other areas on that fake site just led to 404 errors saying page not found. I didn’t bother putting in any personal info, as it definitely seemed dodgy.

On 21/3/21 I got a text saying I missed a Royal Mail parcel on 18/3/21 and to visit a website to pay and sort out a new delivery. The site looked pretty real at first, but it showed my supposed delivery was on 19/3/21, which didn’t quite make sense. Also, I’m not sure how Royal Mail even got my phone number in the first place, so I decided not to reply or click anything.

Got a dodgy message saying my Royal Mail parcel wasn't delivered. It wanted me to click a link and pay to sort it out. Didn't click or reply - total scam, be careful!

I got a message claiming to be from Royal Mail saying my package was sent back to their depot on 17/03/201, then it told me to follow some steps to get it redelivered. There wasn’t even a reference number or anything. Totally seems like a scam to me!!!!!

Definitely a scam! The tracking code they gave me turned out to be completely bogus. Don't trust it!
