So I got a call from them once saying I'd be arrested for fraud if I didn't press 1, and then another time they told me my NI number was frozen due to fraud and that I'd be going to jail if I didnt press 1 to fix it.

Got a call from a robotic voice claiming to be Amazon Prime, saying they'd take £39.99 from my account right away unless I pressed two to talk to someone. I pressed two and got put through to a call centre in India. The person started asking if I wanted to cancel my Prime membership or just pay up. I told her off and said I wasn’t even an Amazon Prime member, that it was disgusting. When I mentioned calling the police, she just shrugged it off and hung up on me. Totally a scam. Looks like this number was used for some other dodgy debt-related scam before.

Said they were from citizens advice, questioned me about debts and insurance stuff. How did they even know my name? I’ve never had any contact with citizens advice before. Ended up blocking the number.

Got phoned 14 times over the last couple days, missed 12 calls and picked up twice. Told them straight up I’m not citizen advice, so stop ringing me, then they just hung up. They called right back a couple mins later from the same number. Asked to speak to a manager but got passed to another guy with an Indian accent, clearly not the manager. Told him it felt like harassment and if they kept calling I’d report it to the police. He said “oh no, please don’t call the police” then laughed and said “good luck and f*** you.” Threatening the cops to try and scare me off!

They call CONSTANTLY. Whenever I tell them to take me off their list, they get proper rude. Most of them seem to be blokes with Indian accents. Once I asked them nicely to remove my number, and the guy started singing “I’m not interested” over the phone, then rang me back straight away.
