got a message saying “hi its sarah. dont panic but ive had a fall and im in hospital. broke my wrist and fibula on my left side. can u do me a favour? pls text back if u can.” i replied askin “sarah who?” and then got a text back sayin “sarah tx.” looked up the number and turns out its a total scam.

Got a call from someone named Sarah asking for a phone voucher, said she was in hospital with a broken wrist and fibula. Thought it might be my neighbour Sarah, so I replied, but I reckon this was the wrong number. I've blocked it now just to be safe.

Got a dodgy text claiming someone called Sarah was in hospital and needed me to ring her quick. I replied 'cos I've got a daughter named Sarah, but it turned out it definitely wasn’t her. Bit fishy if you ask me.

The number showed up as "maybe: Sarah," and they called saying they were in hospital and wanted me to message them. I’ve got no clue who Sarah is. Definitely a scam.

Someone named Sarah sent me a text saying she broke her fibula and is stuck in hospital but needs £20 of O2 credit. Cheers to everyone who shared their thoughts, it really helped. I have a mate called Sarah so I was quite worried it might be her at first. But when she asked for £20 credit, it seemed a bit odd, so I decided to look it up online and found this thread! Big thanks to everyone who replied.

A woman saying her name was Sarah T called me. She said she was in hospital and needed me to buy a £20 EE top-up and send her the code. I reported the number to Action Fraud UK. If anyone else has been messaged from the same phone, make sure you also report it as a phishing scam to Action Fraud UK.

Had a text from someone called Sarah this morning, but I haven’t a clue who she is. Nobody I know would just message me without saying why, like asking for a lift from the hospital or help with the animals. I ended up blocking and deleting the number before even bothering to look it up. Really appreciate everyone who shared their thoughts here. It’s awful how many dodgy scams there are, we all need to watch out more these days. 27
