Got a call from a young woman claiming to be from NatWest in Bury, which is close to me, though my real branch is in central Manchester. She sounded genuine enough, asked me to confirm my postcode and birth month but didn’t push for anything else. She wanted me to arrange a ‘financial health check’ by phone and was basically trying to pitch NatWest house insurance and persuade me to start using their mobile banking app. I said no thanks to all of it, quite politely.
