I got a dodgy call from someone claiming to work at the health and pensions department. It was one of those recorded messages warning me that my national insurance number was about to be blocked after being used illegally. It told me to press one to talk to someone. When I did, a woman with an Indian accent picked up and asked how she could assist. I told her I’d just received a call from this department, and she then asked for my name and phone number. When I asked if she could already see my number from the caller ID, she just cut me off and hung up. Bit fishy if you ask me!
