This number rang me up claiming they were from Amazon, telling me there was dodgy activity on my account. They said someone was trying to purchase two iPhone 14s and some cases and urged me to get on my computer right away so they could guide me through sorting it. I ignored that but later had a look and saw the orders were actually there. I cancelled everything, changed my password, and activated two-factor authentication. Since then, they’ve phoned me like five more times.

I got a call where this person was acting like they were calling from my bank. They said my card had been used somehow and told me to push 1 or 2 on the phone to find out more. It sounded pretty dodgy to me.
