My mum got a call about some insurance renewal, but as soon as I answered instead of her, the person on the other end just dropped the call. Bit strange, really.

Today my elderly relative got two calls from some dodgy people chatting about drainage covers or something. Thankfully, they were sharp enough to just hang up straight away. Such scammers are horrible!

Received a call from a woman claiming my drainage cover needed renewing. I explained I don’t have any because I’m renting and the landlord sorts that out. She kept going on about me having private insurance and even guessed the bank I use. I tried to tell her it’s not right, but she wasn’t having any of it, kept saying I was locked into a contract. Got fed up and ended the call. Then I tried to block the number, but it was a mobile. This feels like a total scam, probably targeting older folks.

I got a call saying my drains plan is about to expire and they wanted me to pay for the third year right then over the phone.
