Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who called himself Kieran (sure, mate) claiming he was from BT Openreach. He said my internet router was throwing error messages. I told him I'd have a look, then hung up after a minute or so. Felt really fishy to me, like a scam trying to get the router password. Bit of a different approach from the usual tricks. Even though the number showed as “mobile,” there was noisy background like a call centre. Definitely seems dodgy and might be risky to engage with.
