Got a dodgy text pretending to be my son saying he’d changed his mobile number and that his online bank was frozen. After a bit of chatting, they asked me to cough up £2900 to sort out the problem with his account. Thankfully, I didn’t send any money and realised it was a scam just in time.

Got a call from someone saying, "Hi mum, here’s my new number, can you message me on WhatsApp?" A bit later, they said they were having trouble contacting their bank. Bit fishy if you ask me.
