I have my suspicions that this might be a scam. The caller pretended to be my child, saying they had a new phone number. When I requested to verify their identity, they instructed me to send a text to 07926775288. However, when I inquired further about who they really were, they went eerily silent. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Just to chime in, I got a text from this number saying "Dad, got a new phone" but the way it was worded didn’t sound like anyone in my family. When I asked who it was again, they never replied. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I reckon it might be a scam, they said they were my son or daughter but with a new phone number. When I asked them to prove who they were, they told me to send a text to 07926775288. After I asked again for more info, they just stopped replying.
