A chap rang me saying he was with Openreach, telling me my info was appearing online and he could help me fix it. He asked me to open the App Store and enter a code he’d supply, then put in a notification from BT so he could supposedly set my iPad back to private. I didn’t trust it and quickly stopped the call, thinking I’d dodged a bullet. When I tried ringing the number back, a woman with a foreign accent eventually picked up, which made me even more suspicious.
