Honestly, it's pretty unlikely that HMRC would send me a text about a tax refund from a mobile number. Feels like a total scam to me. Best just ignore and don’t bother opening it.

Just got a text saying I’ve got to claim some kind of tax rebate by 2nd July. Sounds fishy to me, not buying it for a second.

Got a text from a strange mobile number about my tax refund deadline running out soon. The message had a sketchy link and it’s pretty clear HMRC wouldn’t be messaging from a random mobile. Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.
