This is definitely not a scam. If the screening appointment you get isn’t local to where you live, don’t worry! There are lots of temporary screening centres set up all over the place. For example, I stay in Eastbourne and received an appointment via text from Brighton and Hove breast screening services - but the actual pop-up centre I go to is just by Eastbourne train station.

Got a message from this number saying it was an NHS NoReply with an appointment reminder. It mentioned a Saturday slot at the new community diagnostic centre at Southlands Hospital in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. I wasn’t sure, so I called the hospital directly to check. The lady confirmed that they’re indeed doing appointments on Saturdays since it’s a new, high-tech place. So, this wasn’t a scam for me. If you’re unsure about these texts, just give the hospital a ring to double-check.

This was a complete rip-off since I don’t even live anywhere near the location they mentioned. It’s so frustrating to see folks stoop that low nowadays!

Got a text saying they had a medical appointment, but didn’t catch who it was from. Bit baffled, to be honest. Thought maybe it was someone I know, but turns out it was just some random number. Not sure if it was meant for me or a mistake. Pretty confusing!
