This number is definitely legit. Over the last year, I’ve gotten quite a few messages from it, and it’s actually my doctor’s surgery. A lot of the messages are just general alerts sent to everyone, but a good number have been tailored specifically for me, even including my name. No doubt it’s genuine.

I got a text from this number the other day. It was actually my GP letting me know that their phone landline was down. Then a few hours later, I got another message saying everything was fixed. I reckon this might be a service number used by different GP clinics to update patients.

Got a weird text from an unfamiliar number saying something like, "Missed a call from the pharmacy at xxx Medical centre. They wanted to check your medication dose since you haven’t picked up the stronger one lately. Please send an econsult with your current dosage info. Thanks." I rang my doctor's office to check and they said no call had been made. Felt like a dodgy attempt to get personal health details.

Genuine GP surgeries operate with far more professionalism than this! The other day, one of our work phones received a rather puzzling message concerning medications and some sort of 'removal' - completely devoid of any identification or context! It's crystal clear that this is a phishing attempt; they’re trying to ensnare unsuspecting folks into calling them and disclosing personal details like date of birth or health information. Take heed! True professionals wouldn’t conduct themselves in such a shoddy manner! Whatever you do, don’t divulge any details to these dubious characters!

Got a message saying ‘access is being limited to keep patients and staff safe. You need to go through a phone screening before any appointment. Permission must be granted to come in.’ It came through 4 times but no company details, pretty fishy if you ask me. Seems like a scam to me, best just to ignore and delete it. Stay safe everyone!

We’re seeing more requests for repeat prescriptions than usual, and it’s really putting a strain on our pharmacy and medical staff. A lot of these orders are being made too early and don’t need to be. Please try to think about others when making your request.
