I don't normally answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognise, but today I decided to. At first, there was just a clicking noise, then a woman - sounded like she might be Irish - asked me twice if I could hear her. After that, she began to pitch some investment opportunity promising about 14% returns per year. I quickly told her I wasn't interested and ended the call. It only hit me later that they probably wanted me to say "yes" at the start to use against me, which I did without thinking when asked if I could hear them.
