It appears that this is a company operating from abroad, utilising an autodialler to bombard UK phone numbers with incessant spam calls. Those who are naive enough to press nine end up regretting it. When I rang 1471, the number displayed was that of a UK mobile, which someone poor soul actually possesses, and they’re entirely unrelated to the calls. It seems the autodialler must have a number that's strikingly similar or possibly it has been cloned. I suppose the only course of action left is to notify OFCOM about this nuisance.

I received a call on 30th October 2008 at precisely 15:45, but the caller hung up before I could pick up. A quick dial of 1471 revealed the number, which I thought could lead to some action against these bothersome and potentially costly calls. Given that I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, it's rather frustrating that these scammers seem to circumvent proper etiquette. One has to question why such heedless groups can still reach us, devoid of conscience!

Received a rather ridiculous automated message claiming we’d won a cruise in the Caribbean or something equally absurd. We left the line open without hitting "9" as instructed, just to see how much we could rack up on their end. Interestingly, when we tried to ring them back to understand why they were contacting a number registered with the Telephone Preference Service, there was absolute silence. It’s high time these callers disclosed the costs per minute for those foolish enough to press "9" and return their call for more information, don’t you think?

Out of sheer curiosity, we dialled nine just the once to find out what would unfold, and a chap answered. The very first thing we inquired was, "Could you tell me the price of this ring?" To our surprise, he promptly hung up on us!

Received a call from this number at 10:45 AM on the 3rd of October, 2008, but the registration appears to have happened at 11:19 PM the previous night, on 2nd October, 2008. The customer dialled 1471, which is how this number was obtained.

We keep getting these incessant calls about a 'complimentary holiday to the Caribbean,' and as soon as we hang up, our phone line gets all jammed up, rendering us unable to make any outgoing calls. The last time it occurred, we had to unplug the phone to clear the line. Something really must be done about these daft individuals, and swiftly! I’ve been polite and patient thus far, but there’s only so much civility one can muster. Eventually, I might just lose it and yell down the phone, telling them to shove off, making sure they hear me loud and clear!
