I received a call from this mobile number, but I have no idea who it belongs to. I've been informed that it could potentially be a scam.

I’ve received calls from a firm that identifies itself as Jacobs. I had previously received correspondence concerning council tax matters from them. When I proposed a payment arrangement, they insisted on a whopping £1200 upfront. Honestly, this has all the hallmarks of a dodgy operation aimed purely at lining their pockets! I wouldn’t part with another penny to them if it meant facing jail time for it. It’s shockingly unprofessional to be contacted from a mobile number as well. I genuinely hope others steer clear of their schemes!
