I answered my home phone and greeted the caller with a simple "Hello." To my surprise, there was only the sound of buttons being pressed repeatedly, so I decided to hang up the receiver.

Rang my home phone at precisely 18:54 on Monday, the 15th of December 2014. All I could hear was some ambient commotion from what sounded like a call centre. They hung up after just a few seconds. The number that called was 07884 895631.

This call purporting to be from the Department of Work and Pensions seems rather dubious. I’m not convinced it's genuine.

I got a call from this number, but the moment I picked up, the line went dead. Quite puzzling, really!

I’ve had a rather unsettling experience with a call from “Future Energy” on this number, and it’s the second time they’ve reached out to me. They had the audacity to claim that I was selected due to being aged between 50 and 75, which is a tad concerning. What troubles me more is that they had my address and were aware that I’m a homeowner. The previous time they rang, the salesperson was peddling solar panels for an added £5 to £10 on top of my current energy expenses! I insisted that they refrain from calling me again and requested the removal of my details from their records. Strangely enough, they asked if I truly wished for them to contact me daily, which is precisely the opposite of what I said! These sorts of operations really need to be halted before they take advantage of more unsuspecting individuals. They are an utter nuisance and likely engaging in dubious practices. - caller: Didn't catch their name, but they identified themselves as "Future Energy."

Someone called claiming to be from the environment agency and actually knew my name. I told them I couldn’t talk at the moment, and they said they’d ring me later. Guess what? I’ve blocked the number since then.

Received a call earlier today. The caller inquired if I was Mr "X". When I affirmed that I was indeed, he quickly backtracked, saying, "Ah, my mistake, I believe I've got the wrong Mr X." I reckon my rather uninspired response may have given him pause.

I recently received a call from this number and decided to let it go to voicemail. Oddly, there was no message, just some faint sounds reminiscent of a call centre in the background. Quite peculiar, considering it's supposed to be a Vodafone mobile! My number is private, so it seems like it’s just a random sales or scam attempt.

I recently received a phone call from this particular number. The individual on the line inquired about someone named Mr. Simpson. I informed them that no such person resides here, to which they then requested to converse with the homeowner. I declined, and they abruptly ended the call. During the conversation, there was a noticeable din in the background, suggesting it was coming from a call centre environment.

I’ve just had a call from the same pesky individual again. Oddly enough, there was nothing but silence on the other end as soon as I answered. Yet another number added to my block list!

I've had a right dodgy experience with these folks who are insisting that they want to speak to someone who’s never even set foot in this place. On top of that, they're trying to peddle some kind of energy product. It all feels quite suspicious!
