Today I got a message asking if I had paid Hilton £292, but the card mentioned was one I don’t even use anymore. The text said to reply yes or no, but I just ignored it. I’m thinking of reporting the number as fraud and getting in touch with my bank just to be safe.

This number kept sending me messages claiming to be Halifax about some fraud attempt. I didn’t ring the number in the message tho, I looked up Halifax’s official number and gave them a bell. Turns out, there was no fraud on my account and they hadn’t reached out to me at all. So yeah, I just blocked the number straight away.
