Got a text just after midnight from "tv licence" saying I could get a refund because of some missing records. It told me to check out a link, tv.licencenotice(###], but the URL looked dodgy and wasn't the real one. Seems like a phishing attempt to me. Has anyone else had this?

Got a dodgy text at like 1am today from 07882 535 256. I’ve blocked the number straightaway and sent a report to textscam@tvlicensing[###]. The website link in the message didn’t even look legit, plus what proper company messages you at such a ridiculous hour? Seriously, quit sending me these spam texts. It said something like: "tv licence refund available due to lost records, check out tv licencenotice[###]". Total scam!

Seriously, who on earth thinks that’s a good use of their time? Just go ahead and block that number, no point dealing with it.
