Got this odd automated call supposedly from Lloyds fraud team. Rang Lloyds directly to check and apparently, that number isn’t even part of their setup. Noticed the number was a mobile when I replied via text. Told them off quite bluntly before blocking the nuisance!

I got a call from this number, it was Barclays bank. I had rung them through their app first, then they phoned me back from this number. On both calls, I ended up chatting with the same woman.

got a message text from this number saying something about a direct debit for £80 set up for a Mr am singh from halifax bank. i dont even have an account with halifax so i just went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

Just got a call from this bloke, and I reckon he only tries it if you sound unsure. He hung up way before I could mess about with him properly. Said he was calling from Leamington, which is where I'm close to, but my Barclays account is registered in a different place. Not sure if that’s just luck or if he actually knew I’m nearby.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Barclays in Leamington. They asked if I was alright because of Covid and made a point of saying they weren't after any personal info. They told me to visit the official website if I had any concerns. However, since I heard from others that Barclays have said this is a scam, it seems like this person might be trying to target people affected or just checking who's got Barclays accounts.

Hey, someone called saying they were Francis from a Barclays branch, saying they wanted to help because of the coronavirus situation. I rang Barclays myself, gave them this mobile number, and they told me it's a scam. They warned me not to share any details with the caller. Just be careful and don't let these scammers trick you.
