Got a call on my phone, but the accent was so hard to follow, I just hung up.

Do not pick up or believe anything from this number. I got calls from an Indian man talking about debts. Couple years back, I got tricked by a call that sounded just like this, saying they needed to fix my computer connection. Ended up messing my PC and asking for cash. Same story, an Indian bloke. They'll try all sorts. Best thing is to just hang up and be careful if you start getting calls from strange numbers, no matter where they say they're from. Just block and ignore until they stop bothering you. Stay safe!

Picked up and it was some bloke with an American accent - he wanted to speak to my partner by name even tho we don’t share a last name, but it was my mobile he rang. I asked who he was and why he was calling my phone, since it’s mine. He sounded a bit lost when I got all sharp and annoyed with him, then just said ‘no one’. I told him I don’t appreciate random people calling me and slammed the phone down.

Just got a call off this number. Some bloke claimed he was calling from Citizens Advice about unsecured loans, debts and store cards. He said I’d applied for a loan but got turned down. I told him I hadn’t applied for anything and asked where he got my number from, then he said it was from some database and just hung up! Be careful, this sounds like a scam!

Got a call from an Indian lady, but there was so much noise in the background I could hardly make out what she was saying. She said something about an unpaid debt I supposedly had. When I asked her where she got the details from, she said she couldn’t disclose it because it was "confidential info". I pointed out that if she had it, it couldn’t be that private. She ended the call straight away after that.

This number has called me three times in the last few days. I answered once thinking it might be someone I know because I recently got a new phone and lost all my contacts. Got a call today from this number, some bloke who was really hard to make out saying he was from the UK Government. He was quite pushy asking if I owed money on any unsecured loans or credit/store cards. When I asked him where he really was calling from, he just said the UK Government and started stumbling over his words, sounding pretty dodgy. I ended the call, and he hasn't rung back since.

This number has rung me a few times, and today I finally picked up. Like others have said, it was a woman with a thick accent claiming to be from a Debt Investigation team, saying I had several unsecured personal debts - which I don’t. I asked her what she meant, but she just kept repeating it and then rudely said something about having loads of info in her system, and that some creditors pushed my details up their list. I told her it sounded like a cold call, and she hung up on me before I could ask her to take my info off their list (and get a bit annoyed!). I've blocked the number now.

I got a call today from the number 07874623215, a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from 'Citizens Advice'. He asked if he was speaking to me by name and said I was on several government lists for unsecured loans, which is rubbish as I don't have any. He wanted to discuss some government scheme, so I asked, "Are you from the Citizen's Advice Bureau?" He said yes. I replied, "I won’t confirm or deny any loans over the phone, especially from a mobile, send me something in writing." Then he just hung up. Blocked him straight away.

Somebody with an Asian accent rang me earlier today. They said they were from CAB and that they had my info about some debt and wanted to help. I pretended to be interested for a bit, then told them I’d report the call to Ofcom since it was unsolicited, and then they just cut me off.

Said they were from Citizens Advice, talking about my debts. I humoured them for a while before getting passed to some "supervisor," who then accused me of "lying" about owing money (I told them a million just for laughs) and "wasting their time". I then told them their call was completely unsolicited and that they were the ones wasting my time by lying. BLOCKED.

Got a call from an Asian guy about some supposed debt? He said he had my 'profile' or something, which I had no clue about. I’m only 20, have no credit cards or anything that would create debt. Then he tried to switch the topic to other stuff but I cut him off and told him straight up I wasn’t interested and to stop calling me. He rang earlier when I was at work as well. Like my family always says, if they don’t leave a message, it’s nothing worth bothering about.
