BEWARE - Got a call saying I'd come in contact with Covid, then sent a link that looked quite legit but asked for my card info to cover 99p postage for a PCR test kit. Total scam!

Got a text saying I was near someone with the Omicron variant. Total scam - I’ve not even stepped outside my home.

Got a message saying: NHS ALERT from GOV.UK - you’ve apparently been near someone who tested positive. It told me I could get a free test by clicking on uk-health-department.com. That website seems really sketchy and doesn’t even end with .gov.uk, so I reckon it’s dodgy and best avoided.

Just got a message from a number claiming to be from covid contact. Didn’t trust it, so I blocked them and deleted the text straight away. Too risky to mess with.

So I got a call saying I needed a PCR test from the NHS, but then they wanted me to pay 99p by card. The website looked exactly like the real NHS one, very convincing!

Seemed dodgy to me; the link took me somewhere that said 'WELCOME TO NGINX SAMPLE SERVER!!! INSTALLED' instead of any NHS page. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Got a call claiming it was the NHS about COVID, saying I’d come into contact with a positive case and could get a free test. Yeah right, total scam!

I got a call, said it was the UK health service, but the website they sent me to looked fake, like a copied NHS page. They wanted me to pay 99p for posting a “free” test kit. Honestly, don’t fall for it or hand over your info.

I got a message saying I’d been near someone with covid and needed to give card info to get a test kit. The NHS website seemed legit at first, but when I tried looking it up on my husband’s phone, it turned out the site wasn’t real. Definitely a scam!
