Today, I received a phone call from a chap with a rather noticeable foreign accent. He claimed to be representing some government initiative, offering me new loft insulation. Having come across similar dubious characters in the past, I recognised this as yet another scam attempt.

Got a call from some woman called "Samantha" with an Indian accent, talking about loft insulation. She actually used my name from like ten years ago! Ended up just hanging up and blocking the number.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent on her mobile about loft insulation. Right away I knew it was dodgy. She kept asking if I was the homeowner and wanted me to verify my address and postcode. I said I’m just renting and told her she’d need to sort loft insulation with the council instead. After that she just ended the call. Total scam if you ask me.

I got a call from someone who said they were doing a security survey and somehow had my old address. When I asked what kind of security they meant, the person just cut me off and ended the call. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

It was quite tricky to make out what she was saying due to her heavy accent. She mentioned my name and my address, which made me a bit uneasy. She was talking about loft insulation but I never heard the company’s name clearly. I’m pretty sure English wasn’t her first language.
