Got loads of texts from this number saying they’re from the Zinc Group about some debt to National Westminster Bank. If it was really important, surely I’d have an official letter with a proper letterhead? Plus, they’d ring me from a proper office number, not a random mobile. Been getting messages from this number +44 7860 092992 saying NatWest handed my account (ref 12621156) over to Zinc Group for management. They say I can sort things online at Portal.WeWantToSayYes.co.uk, email them at [email protected] or ring 01789 405050. Also mentioned an email sent but advised to check spam if not seen it. Another message suggested calling their 24hr payments line or replying with that same ref number. Seems dodgy, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I've been receiving messages claiming to be from the Zinc Group, stating they are representing the Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, urging me to click on a link. Since I have no affiliation with these institutions, I decided against it. I've reported the messages, but now I'm beginning to receive calls as well. Quite unsettling!

After receiving a flurry of missed calls, I finally got a message stating that my Royal Bank of Scotland account has been transferred to the Zinc Group. I reported it to Action Fraud right away, as I don’t have an account with either of those entities, nor do I owe any money.
