On my UK mobile, I got a few texts from a company called UKSL: first one came through on 25th Feb saying it was about Eon Next and asking me to get in touch either by visiting a website or calling 01246 941807. The next day they sent another message saying it was important and they were trying to reach me about Eon Next again. Then just recently, on 16th March, I received a follow-up claiming I still owe money. Thing is, I haven’t signed up with EON for years, if ever really. They did use my first name in the texts though, so I guess they somehow got hold of my personal details.

Got a text supposedly from UK Search Limited saying it’s regarding Southern Water. This came through on Wednesday 4th March 2026 just after 11 am. Seeing the sketchy history linked to this number, I’d say it’s probably not legit.

Got a text saying it was UKSL about Thames Water Utilities. They said it’s really important to get in touch and gave a link myaccount.uksearchlimited.com plus a number 01246 808536. Seemed dodgy to me so I just blocked the number right away. Probably a scam.

Got a dodgy text claiming to be from UKSL about Essex and Suffolk Water. It said if I don’t reply, there might be more trouble ahead. It asked me to call 01246 488917 or sort it out online at myaccount.uksearchlimited.com. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so be careful if you get something like this.

Uk search limited is connected to southern water bills, if you dont pay they send it to this firm and they will probably call trying to get you to arrange a payment plan to clear what you owe. But honestly you dont have to call them back, you can sort everything out directly on their website. Just another debt collecting company really.

Just like others mentioned here… I've been getting messages from UKSL on 07860092943 about some supposed debt that doesn’t even exist. They say they’ve spoken to ‘their client’ and want to get in touch with me, telling me to ring back with some reference number. Total scam, obviously. I’ve deleted the messages and reported the number.

This is a scam! They’ve been messaging me non-stop for ages! Really dodgy. It kicked off with a letter saying I owed money to Welsh Water, but I’ve never actually had an account with them. Thought it was legit so I phoned to double check. Turns out that’s how they got hold of my number and now they won’t stop texting about some Welsh Water debt they claim I owe!

Got a dodgy message from this mobile number. They said they were from UKSEARCH Ltd, a real debt collector, but the landline they gave me to call back was off by one digit at the end. Proper sneaky move.

What’s more, I’d already paid off the debt with Octopus Energy just days before. Definitely no accident.

Best advice: always double-check with the original company they say they’re representing if you think you owe them anything, before you respond or give out personal info.
