07860092477 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 07860092477 👆 is reported as a number linked to bank fraud alerts, mostly related to Lloyds and Halifax. Many users received texts about suspicious card transactions, prompting them to reply "yes" or "no." Some confirmed the messages were genuine fraud alerts from their banks, leading to blocked cards and investigations. However, others suspect scams, especially as the number is used by fraudsters claiming bank identities and requesting personal information. The number sometimes appears in calls or messages asking for sensitive data, which users are advised not to provide. It’s recommended to never respond directly; instead, verify any alerts by contacting your bank via official channels. Vigilance is necessary as scammers frequently mimic legitimate bank communication, making it difficult to distinguish genuine from fraudulent contact.

I just got a call from Virgin International Airlines saying I booked a flight, but I’ve never actually bought any tickets from them before. Really weird!

Got a message from this number saying it was Lloyd's bank, seemed legit. I didn’t share any info though, I called the number on the back of my card myself. If you’re unsure about a text like this just call your bank straight away.

Got a call from 07860092477 claiming to be from Bank of Scotland. They said payment for a couple of gift cards got rejected and asked me to text back ‘yes’ or ‘no’ if it was me trying to buy them. I replied ‘yes’ and was told to wait 10 minutes before attempting again. Since then, no word from them. I haven’t returned to that website selling the vouchers as it felt a bit dodgy to me.

I received a couple of texts just minutes apart saying I'd spent money on my card, right after the messages came through. Thing is, I haven't used my card all day and definitely not for 0.00, which seemed fishy straight away. It felt like a scam so I blocked the number. Then my landline rang with someone telling me to answer, but I haven't got round to looking up that number yet.

Got a message saying that my bank, Halifax, had rejected a payment of £42.60 from my account. They wanted me to reply YES or NO by text. The message also said not to ring them, just reply by text. I didn’t do either.

FRAUD ALERT!
Steer clear of this one!
I received a call from a bloke with a noticeable foreign accent purporting to be from LLOYDS Bank.
He managed to get hold of my details and was attempting to contact my bank to siphon funds from my account.
It appears this number is still in use! We ought to spread the word and alert others!

It seems that this number is indeed associated with Lloyds Bank, yet I'm puzzled as to why they sent me a text, considering I don’t hold an account with them...

I'm quite convinced this is some kind of scam, but you can't actually reach the bank to confirm. Probably safer just to give it a miss.

Got a text from Lloyds that looked legit, saying there was an attempt to use my card but it was declined. At first, thought it was a dodgy scam. Then I got a call on my home phone from someone in their fraud department. Turns out my card details had been hacked. They blocked it straightaway and told me a new one should arrive in about 3 to 5 days.

Got a voicemail claiming to be from my bank about a failed transaction to TALABAT, even gave the last 4 digits of my card. They told me to call a number back, but when I did, it was just an automated message saying they were dealing with loads of calls. Definitely wasn’t from my bank (Halifax).

THIS ISN'T A SCAM! It's actually Lloyds Bank. I got a text saying my card could have been used fraudulently. I rang my bank on their official number and they said the message was real. They told me about some attempted transactions that got stopped by Lloyds. They showed me the suspicious spending that wasn't mine, so it seems someone got hold of my card info. They cancelled my card and sent me a new one straight away.

Got a message from this number sayin' my Halifax debit card was used for some dodgy transaction. At first I thought it was just another scam, especially after readin' all the confused comments on here. Turns out, my wallet had been nicked and I didn't even know because with lockdown I haven't been takin' it out much. The suspicious charges were actually genuine. Now I'm busy cancelling all my other cards and sorting out a new driving licence. Proper grateful for that text, it made me double-check everything quickly.

Got a message from Lloyds saying I'd get a test soon to check if I’d used my card. Then I got a text from this number. They somehow knew which card I’d used and where online, and now someone’s tried to swipe over £300 from my account.

This could very well be a real Lloyd's number. If you hold an account with any Lloyd's group firm, don't just block or ignore the call. Instead, ring back using the number on your card. Don’t dismiss it straight away as there might be an issue needing your attention. However, be careful not to share any details with whoever calls first, as scammers might be faking that number. It’s often tricky to spot the genuine calls from the fakes. Take care everyone.

Got a text saying my hubby’s card was charged 0.00 by Deliveroo at 2.10am asking if it was legit (yes or no). We’ve blocked the number now, and it also mentioned someone from Halifax would call. Be careful, this is definitely a scam!

Similar story here, they said they were from Bank of Scotland and used the same last four digits. But they found my mum’s number and rang her directly. Even though she’s 88, she was a bit wary straight away, especially since we don’t even share the same last name.

Sent a couple of texts, the first one claiming to be from my bank saying I’d get a text soon, then the second saying my card had been used and showing the last few digits of the card. It asked me to reply with Yes or No. The second message had a suspicious number at the top which gave it away, but the first one seemed normal. Just a heads up, don’t reply to these messages!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Halifax, going through some recent payments and saying if I didn’t recognise them to press a button so I’d be put through to a member of staff. They then asked for my bank account info. I said I didn’t have it handy and that I’d ring the bank myself later.

Please remove my comment from about 54 minutes ago! It really was from Lloyds, not sure why the lady on the phone couldn’t confirm the message they sent, but I got another call shortly after and looked into it myself, and yep, both calls were definitely from Lloyds! Like always, if you’re unsure, don’t reply straight away - check with the official customer service first.

Just like everyone else, I got a message saying it was from Lloyds. First text said I'd get a message soon, and it told me not to reply. Then, a second text popped up from this mobile number, not even a Lloyds number, saying £6.99 was paid to Top Up BV and asking to text yes or no. No way Lloyds would ask you to respond like that. How do they even know the last four digits of my card and my phone number? Proper scary stuff.

Got a text from this number saying my Bank of Scotland debit card ending in XXXX was used on 04-01-2019 at MRPORTER for £402. But that card’s been expired for ages! The message said if I reply Yes or No to confirm the payment, it won’t actually take the money out. Definitely sounds fishy to me.
