Been getting messages from this number and a few others that look similar. They keep saying it’s Mantra Learning, something to do with a course I supposedly signed up for via the UC. Bit confused since I’m not sure when I joined anything like that.

I got a text saying they were from Home Move agents, which caught my attention since I’m sorting out movers for my upcoming house move. They mentioned they’d be giving me a ring soon. Later, a call came through from a number with my own area code, and then I got another text from that same number saying they’d just called and to call them back on the missed call number. They even called me again the day after. Bit fishy if you ask me!

Got a text using my name, saying they’re from ASTRASEAL and would be installing my windows and doors on 9th April between 8am and 3pm. I’m actually waiting for fire doors to be fitted by them for Broxtowe Council. I called Astraseal and they said no dates have been set with the council yet, and the contracts co-ordinator there has no info about this. Then I got a second text confirming 9th April, but you can’t reply or call back on it. I’ve also tried contacting the council’s capital works dept twice and no one’s returned my call.

I received a suspicious note claiming: “There is a crucial issue concerning the Estate of (XXXX - someone in my family). Please get in touch with Sonex at 0800 101 7011 and mention reference 07971xxxxx.” Since I’m already handling matters related to this Estate, it seems like one of the companies I’m working with might have been compromised, and now these con artists have my contact info. Watch out for scams like this!

Got a message from MAC CLINICAL RESEARCH about some study on a new antidepressant. They said if you're on meds that don't work and are ready to stop, you could get nearly £3k for joining. Felt a bit creepy how much they seemed to know. Ended up blocking and reporting them straight away.

I got a message saying it was from Sonex debt collectors, but it was weird because it had my mum’s name on it - she’s in a care home now. The text included some bits from her old TalkTalk account but the number they wanted her to call was a dodgy 0800 one. They were really pushy saying she had to contact them straight away, which seemed a bit off to me.

I got a text saying I needed to order Fexofenadine 180mg, Omeprazole 20mg capsules, and Candesartan 4mg tablets soon. It told me to reply 'Yes' if I wanted to place the order. Thought it was legit but decided to check this number here, turns out it’s a fake. Glad I looked it up first!

Just got a message from this number saying my work has put me forward for an apprenticeship and someone will be in touch to get my details and finish the sign-up...... 🙄. I’m 50 and have been doing the same job for 30 years, with all the skills and certificates already. Sounds dodgy, like a phishing attempt to me.

I reckon this call centre is a proper scam, using loads of different stories. In my situation, a legit recruitment firm and their payroll partner somehow passed on my details to them. They mention PCR stuff but steer clear of recruitment, probably to avoid getting into legal trouble.

So this was odd - got a text from this number saying I had a doctors appointment coming up, but I never booked anything. I looked up the number and found some warnings that it might be a scam. Yet when I rang my doctor’s office, they told me there actually was an appointment scheduled for me. Honestly, I’m not sure what to make of it!

I got a message saying I had a voucher for a boiler service at £49 with a free radiator check and balancing! Got a text saying "your DFS Trading Ltd delivery is scheduled for" some date and to reply to confirm. It also said the driver will call on the delivery day with an ETA. Clearly trying to trick DFS customers into calling a bogus number and handing over info. Don’t fall for it, it’s a phishing scam and very risky.

I received a call purportedly from my estate agent, referencing my home address and stating that they would be dispatching a plumber, which is rather urgent. However, this communication seems a bit off, considering prior interactions I've had with them; there’s been a few inconsistencies that raise my eyebrows. It's possible they’ve changed their number, and the previous occupants didn't update their contacts.

Got a call from some scammer asking if I snore or have sleep issues, telling me to call them back. I just blocked the number. Then they tried the same line with a different number the very next day. Fingers crossed they call back again so I can keep them waiting while blasting Crass at max volume!

I got a text saying: Your appointment with ref RW10102326 is scheduled for 30 Oct 2020 from 08:00 to 17:00. If you want to change it, please give them a ring. Then, immediately after, another message came through saying: Thanks for reporting the repair with order number RW10102326, it’s been recorded and you’ll get an appointment confirmation soon if it’s been arranged.
