Got loads of calls from this number over the past few days but I never picked up. They never bother leaving a voicemail either. If they want to seem genuine, leaving a message would be a good start.

Got a message from TSB which seemed legit. So, I rang the number on their official site to check and they told me someone had used my card info for online shopping without my permission. Just so you know, I didn’t reply to the text at all. Then a few hours later, I got a call from 0345 3511695 with an automated message saying it was from TSB about suspicious activity on my debit card, even mentioning the last 4 digits and asked for my date of birth.

TSB - the message was genuine. TSB has verified that this is their official fraud helpline. Once again, someone tried to charge £279.99 at Argos using my TSB credit card info. Seems like TSB might have had a security breach somewhere.

If you get a message from this number [###], just so you know it's legit from TSB. I got a couple of texts, first one said they'd get in touch, then another saying I'd paid £299 to HRG. I called TSB straight away and had to cancel my card because someone was trying to use it. Hope this info is useful!

Just got a text saying I've spent £959.00 on something I never bought. Rang TSB straight away and they blocked my card, said they'll send a replacement. I'd advise you do that too, just in case.

In my case it was actually genuine. The call was about an account that's been closed so nothing was gonna happen. I rang TSB who checked it out and added a fraud block to stop anything else happening.

Got a message from my usual TSB alert first, saying this number would try to ring me. Checked it out here and loads of folks said scam, so I just ignored it. But I rang TSB in the morning - got the text at around 10.45pm and they were shut for fraud reporting. They told me it really was them. Apparently, they only ask you to reply yes or no by text, then reply back. They said someone will ring between 8am and 9pm, or you can call an 0345 number, which I did, and it connected me straight to their fraud team.

For me, it was a genuine text from TSB notifying me that someone attempted to use my card. TSB also sent a message through their official network saying they’d use this specific number to send info about the suspicious activity. A short call to their fraud team sorted everything out pretty quickly. To sum up, TSB ought to send you a message from their standard system explaining which number they’ll contact you from.

Same thing as others have said - I got texts two days in a row saying they're from TSB BANK. The worst bit? They had the last four numbers of my card!!! I called TSB both times and they told me just having those digits means they can’t do anything with your account. Still, it’s enough to make you nervous, isn’t it! Bloody idiots.

Got a message saying my card ending in xxxx was used for a purchase, but I don’t even have an account with TSB. Definitely a scam.

Got a text from this number saying it was TSB. The message said my card ending in #### was used online for £200 and asked me to reply yes or no if I knew about it. I rang TSB’s fraud department straight away and they confirmed someone tried to use my card but it didn’t go through. They blocked my card and told me a replacement is on the way.

Don’t just ignore these texts, ring up TSB yourself and check, coz mine wasn’t a fake - someone actually tried spending on my card. Had to cancel it and get a new one sent. Better to check it out instead of dismissing it right away.

Sounds like one of those ongoing scams. I ignored their texts and now they’re ringin with an automated voice, pretending to be from some fraud squad at 0345 351 1695. I checked that number online - loads of people saying it’s dodgy and that calling back could rack up big charges. They’re obviously after your card info and personal stuff. I just hung up straight away. Hope that info’s useful. Best to block the number, don’t reply to any messages, and just give your bank a bell to make sure your account’s safe or to freeze your card if needed.

This time the number was actually from TSB (can’t say for anyone else though). I called them after seeing the text, and they told me the message was about a dodgy transaction they spotted on their system. The info they gave matched what was in the text. If you’re unsure, don’t text back - just ring the official number on their website as soon as you can. I reckon if it’s genuine and you don’t reply, they’d hold the payment anyway?

If you get a text from this number, make sure you ring TSB immediately. I got transferred to their credit fraud team, and they told me this is the mobile they send to warn about unusual activity on accounts. Someon used my card for 2 iTunes payments, so I’ve had to cancel my card and wait for a replacement. Don’t just brush it off!

They told me it was a scam and my card needed to be cancelled. If you get a message like this, ring your bank straight away because they could really steal money from you.

I got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from TSB’s fraud team. They had the last 4 numbers of my debit card and wanted me to confirm if I’d made a certain transaction.
