I got a rather peculiar text message featuring what appeared to be a legitimate tracking number for a parcel. However, the message itself was rather vague, prompting me to attempt to give them a ring. Each time I dialled the number, I was met with an automated voice cutting in, declaring that the number wasn't recognised. It could be linked to Parcelforce, but I've also got a different number they usually use to contact me. All in all, this seems rather fishy and I'll be steering clear of it.

This has got to be a scam, no doubt about it. I called the company supposedly shipping my parcel with Parcel Force, gave them the tracking number I’d been sent. They told me there was no such account number and it was definitely a con. I’d had 6 texts asking me to confirm the delivery address, then the last one said when it’d be arriving. I just ignored it all and guess what? They’ve not contacted me since.

hmmm, maybe i was a bit harsh telling people to dodge this at all costs. looks like it’s actually a text from parcel force but they sent it to the wrong number. when i checked the tracking number on their site, it says the parcel was delivered in coventry, but i live down here in devon. quite odd!
