Got a message from this number about some upgrade they said I was due for. I replied with when they could call me back, but then I started to worry because I wasn’t sure if it was really O2 or not.

Today I received a text saying they tried calling me but couldn’t get hold. I’ve heard the genuine O2 wouldn’t ring you directly anyway, so it’s clearly a scam. Just block the number and add it to your reject list if it texts you - such a nuisance!

Same thing happened to me as Simon said. They rang me on a different number first, then when I put a block on that one, they switched to this one instead.

Don't let yourself get tricked, this isn't O2 at all. They might seem to know stuff only O2 would, but it's not the real deal.

I got a message like that too, but after ringing up 02 they told me it wasn't from them. Sounds like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a message claiming it was 02 saying I could get an upgrade. Next day they called me, but nobody spoke so I just ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.
