I received a couple of messages from this number around 4:50 this morning, purporting to be from the Royal Bank of Scotland. The first message informed me that they had blocked some transactions, while the second one mentioned that three transactions to Bet365 had been cancelled. It also asked me to reply with Y or N to verify if these were legitimate transactions. The thing is, I don’t even have an account with RBS! What a scam!

Got a text from this number saying there's an issue with payments from my account, but I didn’t make any of those transactions.

I just got a message from this number regarding some payments linked to my account that apparently require verification. The thing is, I've never had an account with Ulster Bank!

Received a text from UlsterBank claiming there were payment failures linked to my debit card, despite the fact I don’t even hold an account with them! They also mentioned I’d be contacted from this number. Now, I’m being inundated with phone calls from an Irish number. I’m not picking up - it’s got to be a scam of some sort.

I just got a message showing some purchases I'd made, and one that definitely wasn't mine. I called my bank straight away and turns out my account was compromised. Don't reply to that number at all, they'll use whatever info you give to try and scam you!
