I help a mate with learning disabilities by checking their texts. They usually get messages like this but today’s one said something like "we need to review recent activity on your account/card. Future messages will be sent from 447860015166 with details of the transactions and how to reply." It’s been about 20 minutes and no follow-up yet. The texts often say they’re from Santander, but I find that pretty unlikely since they must know my mate struggles with this stuff. Honestly, it feels like a scam to me, but I can’t be sure.

Got a couple of texts and three calls on my phone this morning. Had a look at my Santander account afterwards and everything’s fine, no £76 gone anywhere. Definitely a scam attempt.

So, I got a message saying it was from Santander about some suspicious activity on my phone. They asked me to reply if it wasn’t me, so I did. Right after, I got sent an 0808 number to call. While I was stuck on hold, I looked up the number and saw loads of bad reviews about it, so I just hung up. Cheers to everyone sharing their warnings! I’m definitely blocking it from now on.

Someone called saying they're from Santander to confirm a payment, but honestly, I couldn't tell if it was actually Santander or just someone pretending.

This number has been ringing me loads. The first time I answered, no one said anything. When they called for a second time, I ignored it since I don’t usually pick up unknown numbers. Then, just a couple of minutes later, they rang once more.

Honestly, there’s no point in picking up. They just hang up on you every time! Had loads of calls from them today but they never bother to leave a voicemail. Such a pointless bunch. Best thing to do is just block the number, trust me.
