Beware of the number 44 7860 015124, it's used by scammers trying to steal your card details. You'll get a message pretending to be from your card provider, saying a payment was declined and asking you to reply yes or no. If you answer no, they'll link your phone number to your card info. Make sure to block this number immediately. They'll also send another text warning you they'll call between 8am and 9pm and give you a number to ring back, 0345 3511497 - don't call it! My bank has confirmed it's a phishing scam. Stay safe and ignore these calls.

never respond to these messages, nearly got scammed out of £6600. always call your bank using a number you know is legit. ha

someone kept ringing claiming to be from halifax but it felt dodgy so i didnt want to call back in case theyve got into my phone and are pretending to be the bank to scam me. they did ask for card details and dob, which got me worried, but when they wanted the cvv i just hung up straight away. better safe than sorry, ill pop into my local branch and check it out properly.

Got a text from my credit card bank asking if I’d used my card for a purchase. I hadn’t, so I rang them up. Turns out there were some pending transactions for zero pounds, which they said looked suspicious, so they blocked my card. If you get something like that, make sure you call your bank using an official number to double-check.

I got a text asking me to respond yes or no for a purchase I never made. The message seemed to come from Lloyds saying I'd get a follow-up about my account soon. I rang them up and found out my card had been hacked. They've now cancelled that card and sent me a new one. If you get a message like this, best to call your bank just to be sure.
