Today I got a call from someone called 'Emma', same thing happening. I ended up getting in touch with O2's fraud team, and they told me to call 101 to report it to the action fraud people. They said they could possibly help get the number cut off.

Got a message from that same number saying "It's Emma" saying she fell and is now in hospital needing surgery. Sounded fishy to me, so after reading these comments I’m gonna block it. Cheers for the heads up!

I got a text from someone saying they're 'Sarah' asking me to buy phone credit. At first, I thought it might be a mate, so I actually went to get a voucher. Then I thought it was a bit off and decided not to send it after all.

Just like loads of others said, I got the same dodgy call from some “Sarah” saying she’s in hospital. Total scam.

This number texted my mate claiming to be Sarah (which is me), saying she'd broken a bone after a fall and needed £20. Thinking it was actually me, she sent the cash. But then they asked for even more money, which made her a bit iffy, so she reached out to me on Facebook to check.

Got a message from someone pretending to be a mate, said she’d taken a tumble and was stuck in hospital. Asked if I could buy a phone credit voucher and send over the code. Seemed dodgy to me!

Got a text on my phone saying it was from my daughter, saying she’d fallen and was in hospital and needed me to text back right away. It felt worrying at first, but I rang a different number on the landline to check, and thankfully it turned out to be a scam. It was quite upsetting until I knew what was really going on.
