Sounds like one of those dodgy PPI scams to me.

Had a bloke ring me up saying he was with some PPI outfit, telling me my refund had gone through. He then asked for my sort code and account number so they could send the cash. When I didn’t give it to him straight away, he just ended the call.

I tried calling the number but it just says it’s not recognised. Maybe double check it and try once more?

I got a call from someone who was proper cheeky, saying I had a PPI claim. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he just ended the call straight away. It was pretty annoying.
