Got a call from an Asian lady claiming she was calling on behalf of the NHS. I asked why she was using a mobile number for that, and she said it’s completely normal as it was an NHS mobile line for tracing stuff for O2. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

stranger called me but cut off right away

I got a call from a bloke claiming he was with the NHS, asking if anyone in my house had any symptoms of coronavirus. He demanded I verify my address, even though he only had an old postcode from ages ago. When I began to doubt what he was saying and asked more questions, he just cut me off and ended the call. Bit fishy if you ask me!

this number rang me but they just ended the call right away. i tried calling back straight away and then it told me the number wasn’t valid or something.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be the NHS, asking if I had any Covid symptoms. I said no, then they asked about health insurance covering Covid, which I don’t have. Then they wanted to know who my life insurance was with. It wasn’t until after the call ended that I started thinking it sounded dodgy. Luckily they never asked for my bank info - definitely wouldn’t have handed that over!

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke with an accent saying he was from the NHS. He gave the name Mike and wanted to ask about coronavirus in my household. I told him there was no way I could confirm he was legit NHS, and he hung up straight away. Pretty obvious scam, sounds like they’d try to push a test kit and then try to get my bank info.

Got a phone call from a guy claiming to be Mike from the NHS, asking if anyone in my family had covid symptoms. When I told him I already tested positive and he should have that info on file, he just ended the call straight away!
