I'm from Sri Lanka and put up my land for sale not long ago. This number contacted me, agreeing to the price I wanted and said they'd send the money straight to my bank. But then, they wanted me to cover some bank fees upfront to a certain bank, which I did. After that payment, they vanished completely, ignoring all my calls and texts. Found out later they'd tricked a bunch of others with the same sort of scam.
