They kept asking if I was (my name), but I didn’t say anything and asked who they were instead. When they didn’t reply, I just ended the call. Totally feels like a scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke with an English accent claiming to be from Hackney council, saying something about doing a survey. He also said I was a leaseholder, which is totally wrong. That’s when I told him off and ended the call. What a mug.

Somebody said they were calling from the council, wanted me to do a quick survey about the rubbish service they provide (like anyone actually gets anything useful from them nowadays 😂). They claimed it’d only take a few minutes, maybe 3 or 4. I just told them I was tied up and ended the call.

Got a couple of missed calls from this number today. When I rang back, an automated voice said they were calling on my landlord’s behalf to check if I was satisfied with the service. The way it was so unclear about which landlord they meant felt really dodgy, like it’s a generic message sent out to everyone. Makes me think it’s some kind of scam trying to fish for info or something. Not sure what they want exactly, but I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number just in case.

On 30th May about 2:50 in the afternoon, I got a call about a repair they said happened just days earlier. They wanted me to verify my phone number and address, which I did, but when they asked for my email, I ended the call out of sheer annoyance with how hopeless the council and their contractors are. Then, on the evening of 2nd June, I got a dodgy text about a ‘parcel/PD’ from 07359 782092. I deleted it without opening after quickly checking the number.

Got a couple of calls today. One was from 07852 633 662; a bloke with a London accent asked if he was speaking to me by name. I said no, and he just cut the call off straight away, which felt pretty abrupt and a bit off. Then there was a missed call from 07931 818576. When I tried ringing back, an automated message came on saying they were checking if I was happy with my landlord’s service. Which is odd, since I’ve owned this place for over 14 years now...

I got a call from a well-spoken young woman saying she was from "Quest Research". She mentioned she was collecting data for Westminster council and said they usually use mobile numbers. She promised she wouldn't ask for any sensitive info, but I reckon she's good at tricking folks into giving out personal details.

this afternoon some woman called me, said she was from the council and asked for my landlord. she wanted to know what it’s like living in the area, which felt really odd since the council usually don’t call from mobiles. i told her to ring someone else because i wasnt interested in any surveys. when i tried to call back, the number was already switched off. i actually got the same call from that number yesterday too. i’ve gone ahead and blocked it now. pretty sure it’s a scam!

Such a nightmare! I told them I wasn’t interested but they just ring up again the very next day. There really ought to be some stricter rules for these companies. Even when you block one number, they just end up calling from another. Proper annoying!

Today, I got a call from this number saying they wanted to check in about an anti-social behaviour issue I’d reported to my landlord ages ago. They asked if I was satisfied with how the whole thing was handled. Seemed pretty genuine to me.

When I finally picked up, a young Indian-sounding voice asked me to confirm my name, which I did, but then the call just cut off. Seems like they’re trying to verify that the name linked to the number is right. Not sure what they want with this info, but it feels dodgy, especially since they ended the call so abruptly.
