Got a ring from someone claiming they were from "Domestic & Repairs" - seemed like they were trying to sound like Domestic & General. They actually knew the brand of my washing machine and where I lived back then, but the period they mentioned was way too short. They offered me what they said was a £149 refund, but I didn’t pay anything extra and was happy with the normal warranty from the shop. Feels like some data must have been leaked. The call came from a mobile number, which made it harder to check, and there was an awkward silence when I answered. Made me think it was pretty dodgy.
