I just received an alarming robocall claiming I was involved in tax fraud and insisted I hit 1 to steer clear of any legal action. This so-called message was supposedly from HMRC, but I seriously question its legitimacy! Sounds like a right con to me!

I received a call from a gentleman with a thick accent who surprisingly knew my name. Unfortunately, I couldn't grasp much of what he was saying, except for the mention of "savings." It was all rather baffling, so I chose to end the conversation and subsequently blocked the number.

There’s this bloke with a bit of an accent who’s been calling me repeatedly. He mentioned my name, which felt a tad unsettling, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked his number.
