Even though we're currently in France, we got a text from this number around midday on the 2nd of May. It purportedly came from our daughter, asking for £500 to buy a new phone since she supposedly lost hers and was using a borrowed one from a store. It’s obviously a scam!

I received a rather dodgy text earlier today that claimed to be from my mum. It said something along the lines of, "Hi Mum, I've had a bit of trouble and my phone screen is completely shattered. Please reply to this number quickly as it's a temporary one for now, love you x." They then proceeded to request £500. Quite a cheeky scam, if you ask me!
