Got this text on Sunday 18 October 2020 saying there was a payment tried at Lloyds. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds or anything to do with them. The message told me to check out a website: checkmypayees-online[###]. I looked it up on whois[###], turns out the site was set up the very same day as the text, 18/10/2020. It’s registered with [#]namecheap[###], which is ironic since they promote themselves as offering advice on spotting phishing scams! And here I am, dealing with a phishing attempt that’s linked to them. Kinda suspicious if you ask me.

Got a text saying there was a payment try from a new device, then it asked me to click a link. As I’ve said before, don’t ever click on those links. Looks like a scam trying to grab your bank info, I’d bet on that...

Had a call from someone named Lloyd, but it felt like one of those scams. Be careful lads!

Got a text saying: "Lloyds: Someone tried to make a payment from a new device." It had a link: [#]checkmypayees-online[###]. Thing is, I don't even have an account with Lloyds. Definitely don't click on any links in texts like these, especially if they come from random mobile numbers. It's clearly a scam. Stay safe!
