Someone knocked on my door pretending to be from Cabot. They made me call a number they said was Cabot and then told me someone from a payment plan team would get in touch. That’s how I ended up with this number showing on my phone. Seems dodgy to me.

This is Payplan calling, definitely a genuine company.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've gotten around four messages, spaced about 2 weeks apart, starting mid October through the end of November. Each said they were from ‘PayPlan’ and that I needed to finish a DMP Progress review. The final one mentioned I had debts to settle linked to this ‘PayPlan’, but the link actually directed to something called ‘Pay Plan Plus’. Pretty sure it’s a scam, especially since it came through on my work mobile.

Had a call claiming to be from a well-known company but it just didn’t feel right, since that company never phones customers this way. I’ve already let the real firm know about it too.

Just saw this in the notification, didn’t even open it. Been bombarded with rubbish like this ever since I naively clicked on a dodgy sponsored link while trying to find a genuine company.

In August 2021 and also back in May 2021, I got texts from them with links saying I had a payment due. Problem is, I don’t owe a penny to anyone! Pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to trick me.

This number keeps popping up in loads of scams, including one pretending to be from Santander. Sometimes it claims to be a budget water supplier too. I’d say just block it to be safe.
